A living sculpture in the Wellesley Botanic Gardens.

~90 feet in diameter.

Created in residence with the Wellesley Botanic gardens. A collaborative, emergent structure made of brush from the landscape to shape a space for the community — children of the Wellesley Community Children’s Center, Wellesley students & staff, and whoever happens upon the piece.

The project was made possible by Anne Beckley, Connor Schmitz, Melchor Hall, Kristina Jones, Mark, Rohan, the Wellesley College summer interns: Rena, Clarissa, Salta, Christina, Hailey, Deborah, and many children from WCCC. This collaborative sculpture will continue to live through the children’s use, additions/extractions, and season change. The wood stumps are from arborists Grant and James.
